The Central Vigilance Commission has reported a 25% year-on-year increase in citizen-submitted corruption complaints, with railways, banks and PSUs topping the list.
The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) tabled its annual report this week showing significant growth in citizen engagement. Out of the complaints received, 38% were anonymous or pseudonymous and were not actionable under the current framework.
Observers say the rise reflects increased awareness rather than rising corruption.
